FRESNELS
- (pronounced fraa - nel, the 's' is silent.) A lightweight, medium throw, all purpose lighting device which produces a soft
edged beam. Often times referred to as the 'workhorse' of theatre and
studio lighting. Barn doors (external shutters) can be added to help shape
the circular beam. From Augustin Jean Fresnel, who invented the lens as a
