In this area, you'll find Moving
Lights, and dedicated controllers for them. In lighting design
terms, moving or 'intelligent' lights are for more advanced users. Some
may require 220v. power. Some use a 5 pin control line, others 3
pin. It can be confusing. Yet in the hands of a professional, all
of these limitations can be overcome to create a full fledged DMX universe of
glittering moving lights and images. We don't recommend the use of
moving fixtures for beginners.
The controllers here are
either primarily intended for moving fixtures, or can only be used with moving
fixtures. Many DMX controllers can be configured in various ways to run
moving fixtures alongside more conventional ones. These are not typical
boards; some are more closely allied to a full fledged PC than your
average controller. You
