Cal Stage Online Store Returns Policy

We at Cal Stage pride ourselves on our Customer Service.  Our primary purpose is to insure that your needs as a customer are properly served.  We must, however, observe certain rules.

We understand, however, that sometimes things go wrong.  Under many circumstances, Cal Stage will be happy to receive your merchandise back.  Please contact us by phone or email WITHIN ONE WEEK of purchase for an RMA.  Please note:

No returns on any items will be accepted without an attached Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number from Cal Stage.  Please contact us directly at (714) 966-1852 to discuss your return, and receive this number.  You will receive your refund (via charge-back or mailed check) once we receive your authorized returned item.  
Please note:  Any item returned without an attached RMA number will be returned to the shipper, and no refund can be made.

Returns: Shipping Damage:
Please examine your package upon receipt, opening it if necessary.  Items damaged in shipping MUST be reported, by you, the customer, directly to UPS first.  The ideal way is to report any such damage directly to the UPS driver, who will give you a form.  In cases of unattended drop-off deliveries, or concealed damage, contact UPS by phone as soon as possible at 1-800-PICK-UPS.  In either case, you will receive claim numbers and other information.  In order to process a return for credit, or for our issue of new product to you, we will ask you for these numbers before authorizing your return and/or re-issue of merchandise.

Returns: Ordering the Wrong Item
Please inspect your order carefully when you receive your receipt via email.  If you discover an error in your order (yours, or ours) please contact us immediately.  If the item(s) haven't shipped, a change or 'return' is easy.  It will be tougher later, after you have received your product(s).  Please see "Non Returnable Items," below.  Any items returned for credit or for re-issue of product must be in New, Saleable condition.

Returns: Receiving the Wrong Item
We do our best to avoid mistakes, but they do happen, either in our own internal data entry, or later, when a human pulls your order.  Under these circumstances, we will be delighted (and sheepish) to change out your merchandise ASAP.  Just contact us.  Items returned for credit or for re-issue of product must be in New, Saleable condition.

Non Returnable Items
Please understand,  certain sorts of sales are, by necessity, final.

  1. Makeup Kits are NOT Returnable IF the seal has been damaged or removed.  Think of the seal the in the same light as the seal on a drug or cosmetic bottle; once it is removed, there can be no guarantee of sterility to a subsequent purchaser.  The only exception to this rule is if you have received a kit other than the one you ordered.
     

  2. For the same reason, individual makeup pieces are Not Returnable, unless you have received the wrong item.

  3. We will not accept returns made because "I ordered two more than I needed, so I want to send them back and get a) money back, or b) something else instead."  In our experience, most Color Media returns fall into this category.  Similarly, "My event was cancelled" is not an acceptable reason for most returns, once product has left our building.
     

Non Returnable: Delivery Refusal
Please don't refuse your UPS delivery, unless you have contacted us, and we have told you to do so.  Without direction from Cal Stage to the contrary, refusing your UPS delivery will not gain you a refund.
